Healthy party food ideas
Birthdays don’t have to be laden with chips, sausages, hotdogs and lollies. A healthy party fare can be just as enticing and exciting for children. Plus, it won’t fill them up on sugar! These fun, nutritional ideas are a great way to get entice your children to eat healthy foods.
1) Dip and veggie sticks
Fill small cups with hommus with veggie sticks ready to go.

3) Fruit skewers and fruit cups
4) Yoghurt and jelly cups
Jelly made with 100 % juice, 4.5 teaspoons of gelatine to 500mls of fruit juice. Boil some of the juice to dissolve the gelatine easily, then add remaining juice. Yoghurt cups made with reduced-fat yohgurt, topped with fresh fruit.
5) Pizza pinwheels
Roll out dough to around 1cm thick and sprinkle with finely chopped toppings of your choice. Roll up tightly and cut into slices about 2cm wide. Lay flat on lined trays and bake at 180 degrees C for 15 minutes or until golden.
