At Healthy Kids Association we know how much hard work goes into running a school canteen. Serving a nutritious menu that pleases everybody isn’t easy.

Yet with so many kids falling into the overweight or obese weight range, delivering a canteen that is filled with healthy and nutritious foods is vital. Nowadays, it’s more important than ever to teach healthy eating habits from a young age.

We created the Canteen Recognition Awards to acknowledge the work being done by both paid staff members and volunteer workers who are putting in the extra effort required to offer a healthy successful menu for the children at their school.

This year’s awards are closed and the winners will be announced at our Healthy Kids Expo on March 18, 2014.

Prizes include $500 for the winning canteen and $200 for the individual winner! Plus cash prizes for the runner-up and third place prize winners, too.
