Should a booking not be available for the month(s) of your choosing, you will be contacted by Healthy Kids and advised of alternative months that are still available.

Advertising Cancellation Policy

Bookings are only valid once an advertising request has been reviewed by Healthy Kids and you have been issued with an invoice. Failure to pay the invoice by the due date will result in removal of the advertisement from the publication and a cancellation fee of 50% being issued. Once the booking deadline date has passed, companies cannot cancel their advertisement without payment of the 50% cancellation fee. Once the material deadline has passed companies cannot cancel their advertisement without full payment of the booking. For specifications and deadlines, please refer to our 2024 Media Kit.

* The Product Assessment Fee covers the assessment of products for NSW, ACT, NT, Qld, SA & Vic.

** The Company Benefit Fee covers the design, printing and distribution of the Buyers’ Guides, management of our product database and website, and admin related to the Product Registration Scheme

Payment Methods

You will be sent your invoice(s) after your application has been processed and your products have been assessed. A separate invoice will be generated for your Product Registration Fees and your Advertising Fees.

Please note there is a 1% surcharge that applies to credit card payments.

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION 2024

Payment of invoices

A product is registered only on payment of the Company Benefit Fee and the Product Assessment Fee(s). Additional advertising opportunities are not confirmed until payment is received, and a booking, payment and cancellation policy applies. All invoices must be paid within 14 days of issue.

Product specifications

Healthy Kids Product Registration is only valid while the product being supplied to schools is the same as the product specifications and details supplied within this application. If any changes occur to the product specifications, pack size, packaging or availability (including recalls) before or during the 2024 registration period, Healthy Kids must be immediately notified.

Promotional material and use of the Healthy Kids Registered Product Logo

Any promotional material (e.g. advertising, point-of-sale material, catalogues, flyers and websites) using the Healthy Kids Registered Product Logo or references to Healthy Kids Registered Products, Healthy Kids Association (HKA), or the Healthy Kids Nutrient Standard 2024 are subject to our 2024 Advertising Guidelines and must be submitted to Healthy Kids for written approval prior to publication.

There are specific conditions attached to the use of the Healthy Kids Registered Product Logo. These are provided in the Healthy Kids Registered Product Logo Licence Deed Agreement Kit which you will be provided with once your application has been received. The Healthy Kids Registered Product Logo may not be used unless a signed Licence Deed Agreement has been provided to Healthy Kids. This logo can be used on all printed and online promotional material, but not on any product packaging.

Compliance program

The Healthy Kids Product Registration Scheme undertakes a Compliance Program. Registered Products may undergo NATA laboratory testing as part of ongoing Quality Assurance, and product samples may need to be supplied to Healthy Kids on request. Healthy Kids has the right to deregister products found not to conform with the information provided at registration.

Deionised juice

Healthy Kids does not register products made with deionised fruit juice in our Product Registration Scheme, as NSW Food Authority has ruled that deionised fruit juice is not equivalent to fruit juice in its nutritional value.

Products for which there is not a clear product category

Products that do not readily fit within a product category in the Healthy Kids Nutrient Standard 2024 will be assessed on an individual basis. Healthy Kids will assess products based on ingredients, intrinsic nutrient density and context of consumption e.g. snack or main meal. If it is unclear where your product fits within any of the state/territory guidelines and policies, Healthy Kids will reach out to our contacts within those states/territories for confirmation.

Penalties

Healthy Kids reserves the right to deregister products that do not comply with the Conditions of Product Registration 2024. Notification of deregistered products will be placed on the Healthy Kids website, and products will be removed from the Buyers’ Guide App. Products will not be eligible for registration the following year.

Healthy Kids reserves the right not to register products that:

• We deem unsuitable for the school environment
• Are not labelled according to FSANZ standards
• Do not meet the required criteria to be registered
