Ingredients

 ¼ cup pizza sauce
 ¼ cup black olive tapanade
 2 medium pita breads
 100 g button mushrooms
 1 medium tomato, chopped
½ cup rocket and baby spinach
½ cup light mozzarella cheese, grated

Method

1

Preheat oven to 200ºC and line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.

2

Mix the pizza sauce with the olive tapenade. The key here is to make it look dark and scary - if more tapenade is needed, add a little more.

3

Place pita breads on lined baking trays and spread with tapenade mixture.

4

Now for the skulls! Slice the mushrooms in half. Using a straw, hollow out the "eyes" on the round surface. With a small sharp knife, cut two lines to indicate the nose slits.

5

Top the pizza with mushrooms, tomato and greens, followed lastly with the cheese.

6

Bake for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.

7

Cut pizza into six slices and serve a slice with a side of salad.

Variations

  • Use a variety of different dark or red toppings to make this devious pizza extra mischievous!
