A great way to use up leftover, bruised or overripe ingredients is to use them in recipes! Here are some examples of different foods and they can be used to prevent food waste:

Apples

Bananas

Berries

Bread

Carrot

Cooked pasta

Eggplant

Green beans

Leafy greens

Milk

  • Freeze it into ice cubes – frozen milk can be use to blend into smoothies, served in plain or flavoured milk, or served as a frozen treat by itself.
  • Chocolate frappe

Yoghurt/custard

Zucchini
